Have you ever connected to a Wi-Fi network only to find that it’s so S-L-O-W and your videos keep getting stuck? Wi-Fi Analyzer turns your android phone into an analyzer by showing the Wi-Fi channels around you and also helps you to find a less crowded channel for optimal set up of your wireless router.
It’s incredibly easy to use and the app does all the work while you wait for the best channel or Wi-Fi network to connect to.
L-R — Wi-Fi analyzer shows you the best signal strength, which channel you are currently connected to and a signal meter (with sound) for the best channel to connect to.
Image on left shows my network (grey) is overlapping with another (red) and is probably better for me to move it to a different channel on the right side of the graph beyond channel 13.
L-R — Wi-Fi Analyzer shows you the strongest network around in a different chart.
It also shows you the channel your router is currently connected to and suggests a better channel for you.
*Example on right shows my router is connected to CH1 and the better channel is CH14. This confirms the earlier image on top extreme left that my network is in overlapping with another and will probably run faster if I move it to another
This is a great app and has definitely shown me how I can improve my home Wi-Fi signal. Looks like I have some work to do today on my router and will be changing my Wi-Fi channel. Have you used this app yet? Let us know what you think of it.
